ICF Foundations
Insulated concrete form foundations tuned for Alberta seasons — city and acreage.
What we do
Insulated Concrete Forms give you a foundation and continuous insulation in one system — warmer basements, lower heating bills, and a quieter, stronger wall. It's a strong fit for Alberta's swings between -35 and +30.
We place, brace, and pour ICF for full basements, walk-outs, and above-grade walls on both city lots and acreages.
What's included
- ICF block layout, stacking, and bracing
- Rebar placement to engineered spec
- Window and door bucks and service penetrations
- Controlled pour and consolidation
- Coordination with framing and damp-proofing
How it works
Plan & quote
We review drawings, confirm the ICF system, and scope the pour.
Stack & brace
Blocks are stacked, aligned, and braced; bucks and rebar set.
Pour & consolidate
We pour in lifts and consolidate to avoid blow-outs and voids.
Finish & hand-off
Bracing comes off, walls are checked plumb, ready for the next trade.
Common questions
Is ICF worth the extra cost?
For Alberta climates, yes — the continuous insulation pays back in heating savings and comfort, and the wall is stronger and quieter.
Can ICF be used above grade too?
Yes. ICF works for full-height walls, not just foundations — great for shops, garages, and energy-efficient homes.
